Subject: Re: Rough idle resolution O2 sensor!

After doing some old fashioned part swapping at Autobahn in El Cajon, Jim and I ruled out some possible causes of my rough idle and hesitation problems. We swapped out the Air flow meter, Throttle Response Sensor, Idle control valve, fuel pump relay, main relay and had no luck. Jim and crew refered me to La Jolla Independent. Thanks for all of the help guys! Any way the mechanic,Chris, at La Jolla Independent diagnosed the problem to a faulty O2 sensor. Chris also suggested replacing the fuel pumps. When I picked up the car, it ran smooth and steady. I was blown away how important the O2 sensor must be in feeding back information to the ECU. For all of you wrench turners out there, don't forget to include the O2 sensor in your trouble shooting. Happy motoring.
