Sorry you haven't found the culprit.
Have you replaced the fuel filter. Be sure to use NGK sparkplugs. Bosch can cause problems.

There have been some Romanian owners that installed the double vanos seals kit. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to provide you their contact info.

Let us know what happens.
