History has taught us that BMW’s plastic department isn’t the best in durability. After having a 10 year old e38 and seeing what rubber parts fail or fade to gray, I figure I’ll try to prevent it from happening in the first place.

Thought I would share this product. It was recommended to me by a Sunshine7 member (Thanks Whit). Maybe it can be used as a substitute for Gummi-Pflege, I don’t know, but I like it.

303 Aerospace Protectant and it says you can use it pretty much everywhere but I only used it on all the black trim outside and gaskets. Protects from UV damage (like cracked windshield rubber trim) and keeps the rubber from spliting and fading (important in FL).

So far I like it, it doesn’t attract dust and isn’t oily like Back to Black. Dries to leave a mild black shine and softened the door/hood/trunk gaskets. Here are some pics…
