I have driven one on a test track in Greenville at the school. It went through one hell of a deep puddle well over what I would have liked with no trouble. All of the tourture objects were handled well with no trouble at all. I have had many a 4x4 and this one is the best so far. Now as for going off road - if you want to take it through the boonies thats your perogative. I think the vehical will handle most anything you can throw at it but the body work bill may be a bit on the heavy side. If going off road is your thing I would take the X5 over a Jeep or most any other 4x4 on the market right now. Just my opinion others are welcome to dispute or agree.
