Subject: Tranny Removal - Who's Done It B4???

On my '88 528e I've got coolant leaking aparently from a bad soft plug on the rear of the block and I've been told I need to pull the tranny and flywheel to get at it. I'm am doing this solo. I am reasonably mechanically inclined. What am I looking at to completing this task? Any dangers I need to be aware of? Special tools? Like maybe for these Torx bolts I keep hearing about. Anyone know the size or how I can find out? I do have ETK on CD. Time! What am I lookin at? A full day? 2? I know exhaust has to be dropped as well as the shift linkage disconnected. Thanks guys! I'm getting ready to do this in an hour or so, so any advise and pointers are greatly appreciated!

Thank God it's in the 50's in Minneapolis today!

~David
