Subject: Calling Brian, KiwiJochen & all experts - one to baffle you?

Chaps, you have been extremely helpful so far, i wonder if i can prevail of your technical expertise again?

I have upgraded MkI to MkIV in my 1997 E38 750i, including 16:9 TV
I now have the following INTERMITTENT problems:

1) The Sat Nav occasionally "halts" whilst in operation. All instructions cease, the on screen directions disappear, but the distance to go and estimated time of arrival continue to reduce.

2) I occasionally lose sound on Radio, TV and Sat Nav - but the CD sound works just fine, the TV picture is fine and teh Sat Nav continues to operate, just without sound. This problem often follows problem one.

3) I don't know if this is connected, but having fitted thrid party replacement Xenon control boxes, i intermittently get a problem when switching on the main lights, which manifests it's self by switching on the hazards, deactivating the central locking, turning on the interior lights, and turning the volume down on the radio.

I have bought the Nav Coder software, and am awaiting delivery of the connector from Rolf, to see if coding is the issue, but do any of you have any bright ideas?

Thanks, in desparation
David

1997 750i UK car, Biarritz Blue, my daily driver.
Not the long wheelbase version. Fully loaded, including electric, heated rear seats, now with Mk IV Sat Nav. Bought in Feb 2008 with 74k miles.
