The Picture in my previous post is an "Audio Filter"... If that does not clean up the sound you would also use a 12V Power Filter in addition to the audio filter. The power filter connects to beginning of the system. (Hot wire and ground) then the everything else connects to the power filter. When both are installed you are sure to have clean sound just as bghark described.
