Subject: Event leading to Code P1355. Input needed.

Vehicle Info:
2001 Prod. date 2000-07-10. Purchased 10-03-08 with 109,691 miles.

Engine Running Characteristics: Rough Idle, poor engine output.

Event leading to Code P1355 (Misfire Cylinder 7 With Fuel Cut-off).

After 1,351 miles (111,042), replaced previous owners NGK BKR6EQUP's(Bmw on plug) with Bosch Platinum FGR7DQP (Kragen p/n 4417). Light oil pooling on cyl. 3 & 4, all 8 plugs had normal wear. Coils in good condition. You can hear a "plop" when pulled off the plugs.

Installed the Bosch's, torqued to specs., buttoned up, fired the car up, all's well.

Drove to Monterey, CA (apx. 325 round trip). On the return trip (40-50 miles from home), saw the SES light flash on, then off briefly. Power output still "seemed" ok. Still on the freeway, a few miles later, SES came back & stayed on. At freeway speed, I still coud not feel a drop in engine output. As I exited the freeway, that's when I noticed the rough idle, poor engine output.

I've done the following:
Pulled the Bosch plugs to visually inpespect. #7 was damp, with strong gas smell. All other plugs were ok.
Replaced the Bosch plugs with NGK BKR6EQUP's. Still rough idle, poor output.

For rough idle, poor output, Tis points to fuel system. Clueless there.
