Subject: 528 repaired in Kazakhstan

I was experiencing strong vibrations in cold weather. It sounded like one cylinder was not firing at all! Luckily restarting the car always helped. Basically, when outside temp was lower than 50F and I got vibrations in the morning, I was restarting the engine and everything was okay then. Along with vibrations, I had RPM drops and stalls.

The car is 2000 with M52TU, came from Japan, around 90K miles.

This weekend my mechanic performed an O-rings swap. Now I've almost completed the break-in.

In the morning I still have little vibrations for first 5 minutes, but then they are away by themselves without any engine restarts. No drops and no stalls. Warm engine works much quieter, no clicking at all. Car does not feel faster and I haven't noticed any improvements in lower range. But, I've never felt any lack of power in the lower range =) However, engine now revs more consistent through all the range. So, I'm very happy with the repair. From my information, this is just the second car in the country to perform this repair. Hope my experience will make others here to do the repair too.
