I replaced mine without removing the front bumper. I went through the wheel housing and removed the fog light for more access. Seems an easier approach than removing the bumper. The only reason I removed it was when the dealer replaced the injectors, they cracked a vacuum line causing the check engine light to come on. They claimed it was the secondary air pump. After replacing it the light still came on. After closer inspection and minus $200 for the pump the vacuum line was discovered to be the culprit. I hear the noise with the new pump. I read that it is supposed to activate after a cold start and remain on for 90 seconds.
