To remove the head (tuner) your first have to remove the MID display panel

MID - remove the Vol knob and then you will see a small opening below it. Behind that is the release screw (Allen key - can use a small flat blade screwdriver if careful), Twist the screw 1/4 turn CCW and at the same time pull outward on the left side of the panel - it will rotate out.

HEAD UNIT - you will see 2 recessed brass screws. Turn those CCW (many turns) till they back off the fastener clips on the sides - then the unit can be pulled straight outward.

The antenna connector is an right angled unit on the back (tight fit) and there have been cases of breakage of the antenna wire inside the connector.

I assume you know that a digital radio tuner has to have it's own satellite antenna and that you are trying to use the regular antenna as the alternate (FM source).

Cheers
Jim Cash
