get the hood open and see if there is another VIN number on the fenders. Somehting is fishy, I cannot believe that someone a) took the time to order a complete new set of cylinders for the car from BMW with out them knowing, especially since there were still keys in the vault. For less than 1300, you could break the drivers side window pull the cylinder and perhaps send that to BMW and they could find you the proper key. It is possible to remove door panels while the door is closed, one you have access to the actual mechanism it should not be that hard to unlock it and get the door open.
