Hi guys,

I know there is a strut thread on here where Shayne (I think) mentioned the possibility of changing front strut cartridges without using a spring compressor by pulling them out from above. I saw it the other day when I was at work, but I didn't bookmark it... and now I can't find it. He said that it would work for some models but not all. I seem to remember him saying it wasn't possible on the m5 and 540i m sport....the way it was typed though I wasn't sure if it excluded the regular 540 or not. I have a 95 540i 6sp that I really need to do these on and it seemed like an easy way.... thanks in advance for the help....
