Funny when one makes a search here and finds one's own links... I just Repalced my Girling type master cylinder hoping to cure a hard peddle, not responding brake after bleeding twice after rotor and pad R&R. Same problem. Bled the whole system well after replacing master cylinder and still have no brake lock up. vac seems to work as it brake peddle is hard and releases when ignition turns on. Unless there is air trapped behind the pads in the caliper cylinders some way, I wondering if I can test my vac check valve someway? I discounted the check valve as it is fairly new (2003) and I found a loose clamp theels. If the check valve were faulty, would I be getting this brake fade problem ie. feels like they want to bite but can't??
