Subject: Funny how insurance companys works...

First they're all nicey-nicey to you to get you to come to their company, and then they try to give you the shaft when it's time for them to fulfill their side of the agreement.

My dad had a similar problem years ago. He drives professionally and has never been at fault for an accident, but has only been involved in one accident in his 28ish years of driving, which was 100% not his fault (drunk driver). His truck was totalled. His argument was this: "I have a history of accident free driving, have loyally and faithfully paid my insurance premiums for YEARS, albeit at discount because of my safe driving record, and now after making god knows how much money off me after all these years, you make a big fuss about giving me what my truck is worth."

Suffice of to say, it didn't phase them much, but they asked for reciepts (as the truck had been remotored and lifted) and coughed up the coin.
