Subject: My E39 is all gone!

Hey gang, long time no talk. I know I haven't been as much of a car junkie the past few years as I was when I was regularly meeting up with all of you but I do still check in here every so often.

Yesterday afternoon I finally parted ways with my 97 528i. Kinda sad to see it go but it was just too needy and too much of a money pit, it had to go.

I was hoping to rely on the 82 528e but now it just won't start. Anyone know where I can get some correct, metric diameter fuel line other then the dealership? I found two holes in the hose that goes from the in tank pump to the in line pump but Napa, ORielly and Northern Hydraulics took one look at it and said they had nothing that big.

To replace the E39 I'm looking for either a 00-newer Jetta or Golf VR6 Auto. Idealy I'm in desperate search of a 90-93 E30 convertible auto in decent condition or at least drivable with little to no rust. I'm checking the craigslist/carsoup/etc but if any of you find any of the above autos for under $8k around the Twin Cities, please let me know.

Hope to see you all in person sometime soon instead of just seeing a few of you passing on the road.

See ya,
Steve
