has anyone seen this AT&T commercial of Bill Curtis on an island pimping AT&T's wi-fi card internet access?

I'm always perplexed yet amused by commercials like this, and even a little horrified. First of all, did it really take AT&T 15 years to find the Internet? Remember what happened when Bill Gates approached his software engineers and asked "what's this Internet thing I keep hearing about?" Hello, IE, and all the security nightmares that came with tying it to the bastardized version of Java we know as ActiveX

Look what happened when Microsoft "belatedly" discovered the Internet. Now I hear that AT&T now wants to start charging people extra for the amount of bandwidth they use. Let's face it, AT&T would charge you for breathing if they could figure out how to bill you for it.

The Internet. It was fun while it lasted UNTIL the giant monoliths discovered it.
