Clean looking car can look NOT CLEAN if hood opened and dirty engine showd up. I had same problem but was hesitatnt to have it washed, dealer said upon next service they would wash it but that it about 10 months from now.

Following pictures of my 730Li 2006 will show what steps were taken.

Dirty Engine

Foam soap was sprayed with pressure

Soap spread on engine

Soap covered engine

Soap soaked engine

Dirty areas were scrubbed with wool

Hood insulation is not very easy to clean it is kind of delicate only mild soap and low pressure water did the job.

Ensured that radiator and condesor is washed with high pressure to improve the air conditioning cleaning.

After first soap application, engine was washed and then engine cleaner was sprayed all over the eninge. Once gain soap was sprayed every where and washed with high pressure. A thorough air pressure cleaning to ensure water is not left on electrical parts, was done.

Once it was washed, high pressure air was used to remove water from all electrical connectors and wires.

I used plastic spray to remove the gray look from all black plastic parts. It was little hard to apply polish on every single part with foam applicator to bring back the original look.

I am very pleased with the results, what do you think?

Now I am going to have it detailed inside and outside. Wheels are not very clean (as it is I do not have wheels that I like the best, style 95).

Leather inside is dirty and so are door pannels and dash board, side and rear window curtains are all damaged/broken, these will be fixed in coming few days, then I shall post pictures of all this work.

I am intending to use Lexol for leahter cleaning and conditioning unless some one can suggest a better product.
