I can maybe see the oil damaging 1 or 2 boots, but all 8 at the same time doesn't seem likely. There's probably something else going on. As Buck asked, see if you are getting any other codes other than the misfires.

Did you notice the misfires when driving? Even 1 misfiring cylinder is enough to make your car sputter and halt, so all 8 should be pretty much undrivable. What symptoms are you seeing?
