Try these steps:

Get a 12VDC battery from your drill.
Get two leads(red and black): black to minus, red to positive of 12VDC battery.
Remove the window switch out from door(front window switches are near radio/gear box while rear window switches are on doors and near brake/gear box). You can use a flat headed screwdriver to remove these switches.
Best to discount the car battery's leads.
Disconnect the window switch from the plug.
Now, with the switch removed- connect the two leads into those holes of the Window Switch's Female Holes(Female Plug cable).

If you hear window motor turning but window is not moving, just switch the wire around. That's because you are either in the full up or down and you are feeding DC voltage to the DC motor.

The above steps assume that the switch on the driver side gear box is activated and in good working order. Or you can rule out a bad window motor, open wires, binding gears, rollers on the window assy.

I hope they are helpful.
