are to the heart. High fuel prices, the fact that these are 20+ year old car and that BMW made something like 130,000 of these cars (E23 all together) doesn't make them worth very much at all. I have my 735i thats showing rust and I could never sell it and recover anything close to the money put I put in it, plus I bought mine in 2002 with 116,000 Florida car, for $3200. I just had this discussion with another member who is selling his car and I just can't bring myself paying more than what I paid for 6 years ago with less miles. My suggestion is selling it per blue book for fair to good condition and I would also put it in local papers as well as autotrader and ebay if you're trying to sell it fast. Sorry about your situation.
