Subject: Poverty's Struggle??

Well I am considering selling my favorite project car ever. She is an 85 745i Diamond Black Metallic. I just painted her about 4 months ago.

I was wondering if I could get some advise on an honest, realistic price I might get for her?

It has 122k on it. Engine rust super strong. I just adjusted the valves. I never push it hard. I just painted it as said. I put in an entire new exhaust system from the exhaust manifold back( 1400). I converted it to a stick shift with new clutch, master and slave cylinders. I replaced the waterpump, thermostat, window motors, one regulator, rear lighting module under the rear seat(power), and a host of small electrical items. The car runs super good and is a blast to drive.

The things I know it needs are front control arm bushings( you can feel the play in them while stopping). The brake bomb is also gone. The brake pedal loses pressure. However I do have a good used replacement that I just have not put on yet. You can still drive it but you have to keep pumping the brakes. I also would recommend the shocks / struts get replaced. It has been a while. I also have a leak in the back of the powersteering pump. All it needs is about 12 dollars in seals to rebuild it. Also the ac/ heat system has a vacuum leak somewhere. I turn it all the way to cool and it still radiates heat from the vents. Overall very minor problems in my opinion.

I put e39 5 series rims on it. I upgraded the radio to an ipod input type with cd/ mp3 capability.
This car was the executive version of the 745i so I am told. It used to have a second emblem down by the right side of the license plate but when I repainted it I filled in those holes. I also did away with the side marker lights and holes that where forced upon it when it was imported. I chose not to put the 745I emblem back on the back but I do have it. I thought it made it look sleeker.

AS you can see it has all the german gauges still and the rear power seat to name a few things that make the 745i unique. It has the euro bumpers and lights too. Many of you already know all of this but I thought I would be thorough.

I really don;t want to give it away but I would sell her for a good price if I can determine what that is.

The state bought all the houses on our side of the street to widen it. We got a letter we have 30 days to leave.
Hence, the need for money to move.

Thanks for all the help as always guys!!
Enjoy the Pics!!
