The e32 oil housing isn't nearly as think as the housing on the e28/e23 and there is no way it would hold up. I really wanted to tap the housing an use the stock oil feed that runs in front of the engine, so I welded a 1/4 piece of aluminum to the outside of the filter housing. The pictures are pre-weld.

The set up isn't the prettiest, but it holds great and the pipe aligns perfectly. I just hope there is enough pressure in that cavity to push oil through to the turbo. When I first start the engine, I'm going to leave the oil return off just to make sure oil is flowing through. If it's not, I wonder if I can drill through the inside wall of the filter housing. Cross that bridge if I get to it.

I've heard tapping the pressure switch works well. That's definitely an option if plan A fails.
