I have experienced this about 10 times and only once was it the valve cover. There is nowhere else on the front of the engine that engine oil can collect inside in that volume in order to produce drips that quickly.
Front main manifests itself by covering the front and bottom of the engine and all the front covers tend to seep not produce volumes that actually drip.
