I am putting 82 black seats in my 85 beige interior. I took my seat out and that s when it happened. I said oh shit. I thought it was going to be plug and play. Noper it was not the same. shame shame shame. You see they did not have the memory feature like mine, which i thought was strange because it had electric rear seats and mine did not. I noticed that and should have known when i was installing the same parts cars consoles. For information the head rest chrome shafts are much longer on the 82 also, the seat back is also different. The trap door is only 3/4. So i ended up just trading most all of the hardware over to the black seats. I also bought a slab of dense cushioning and put that under the springs while the motors were out. It is back together and working. Juat short of a miracle i figure.
