Subject: I did UCoatIt at my previous house

30 X 30 foot 3-car garage. The cement was 30 years old. I patched some cracks, acid-cleaned it (to get the old oil and other stuff off), and it came out looking great.

2 hints: don't bother with the "texture" beads, the regular finish is not slick, and the texture makes it rough to lay or kneel down on. Also, get more clear than you think you need (like maybe twice as much). I ran out and ordered more, had to wait for it to arrive, and even then it wasn't enough.

Ok, another hint: if you go with the flakes, throw them UP in the air and let them scatter and settle down. I didn't watch the video, so I tried just scattering them directly with my hand, and ended up with flake splotches.

The finish was very tough - handled the floor jack and everything else without a scratch. It cost me a little over $1000 for the 900 sq ft, with gloss, texture, and flakes. Took me 2 entire weekends, not counting the drying time and waiting for more clear.
