Hi Jim you were right, there was a lot of dirt trapped around the fan, it was thoroughly cleaned and the fan was replaced, i thought i needed freon for the a/c but after this job the a/c is blasting ice cold. I also checked the fan and now it comes on when the a/c is on, i noted overnight however that after some heavy downpour the back carpet was very wet the windows were up and the doors well closed (528i) do you have any ideas on i can curtail this occurance?
