focus on the entry point as the gasket/o-ring is a serviceable item. Any petrol stains - clean them - dry - go for a drive and look again and again.

And do clean out the ICV to factory cleaniness/spotless/eat your dinner out of it !

I only say this coz I helped a fellow e34 enth. with his wife's 525
( he an e32 735 ). We had to clean it three times - full bottle of brake cleaner (that's all we had-far from shops)a and then a dash (really !! ) of wd40 so the swing gate had lube / clean entire area inside Intake Manifold ( I did have Wurth's Throttle body cleaner ( 02 safe )) and I mean up under the top. Quite amazing it ran at all.

Starts, idles and smooth acceleration ( she was soooo cheesed when her friends left Mass in there Other cars - old and new - and she sat there with a car with black smoke. Now She boldly travels ---> anywhere she wants 8-)).

And keep looking air vacs and leaks.

The only constant is change.
