The exhaust is light grey, definitely not black. I wondered about injectors, but you are right that would be black exhaust. Ditto for an o2 sensor or air leak after the mass air flow sensor I would think.
Maybe the next step is compression testing to look for valve or ring issues?
The engine (short block) was replaced under warranty at about 50,000 km. I suspect that was one of the poor castings?
I love to drive this M60 engine and am thinking a chip would be fun.
