Subject: This one made my day.. Smoked a Golf R32 big time

The VW Golf R32 has just been released here, and on my way home today there was this guy driving an R32 behind me on the highway... and I mean on my damn bumper...

Then he's in front, then he's next to me, then he's tailgating me again, and cutting in front like an idiot.... all the way to the exit.

I have up till now been behaving like a perfect gentleman, all the way, but now I've had enough of this little showoff.

I pull up to him and look disdainfully at his R32, the light goes green and we both have a short turn to negotiate we come out of the turn nose to nose and we both floor it, him with impressive tire squeeling and me very unimpressively with my loooong gears. The little twit was next to me in first gear, by the time I get to 3000rpm my car launched like it never has (I swear the 540 knew what was going on)

It was NO contest, but that R32 is still rather quick I have to admit.

At the next traffic light he was staring over alternately at my car, then at me, over and over I could see the gears turning in his head through his open mouth.

This is why I love my E34, and all that cylinder head and valve polishing I did. It's why I will treat this car and love it better than anything you could buy today.
