Guyz I'm planning of buying a 320d very soon coz I will be doing more travelling soon. It will be my first diesel car and I don't know what to expect in terms of servicing and general maintenance. Most of my friends don't like a diesel car because of its sound and smoke and the smell of burning diesel!!!!!! Can somebody who has EXPERIENCE with diesel BMWs, pliz give me some true facts so I can make up my mind.

Personally I love diesel cars coz of the fuel economy, and to me if you drive a diesel car you are a real man. In my area most of the people who drive diesel cars are WHITE so I don't know if there is any relationship between skin color and the type of fuel one prefers. Look I don't wanna sound PARANOID or something, I just want to know if its a good idea to buy a diesel car especially a second hand, I know the turbo and injectors are very expensive but i m willing to take the risk.
