The vehicle continues to be in the shop since last Saturday. Interestingly enough, when the dealership received the vehicle they said no warning lights were on the dash and there were no fault codes in the computer system. I can't imagine they would keep the car for so long and try to figure out what was going on if "nothing was wrong." I knew this was going to be the case, thank god I thought to grab my video camera.

After the dealer gave up on trying to find any problems with my truck they called the factory. Per the Land Rover factory, the dealership sent Land Rover my video and a data file down load from the car. The Land Rover factory confirmed that there are indeed fault codes (CAN Codes) in the vehicle's computer and that there is an electrical short somewhere in the vehicle's computer communication system.

The Land Rover factory advised that there are a number of computers (I think he said 20 or 21 independent computers) in the vehicle with many "connections" and that it is up to the dealership to go on a witch hunt and identify the problem in the communications network.

The dealership service manager read us an e-mail directly from the Land Rover factory stating, "We are notorious that we (the LR factory in England) ship the vehicles with "pinched" wires which cause problems so check for pinched wires."

-Note we already experienced pinched wires on the front end of the vehicle when the following components were replaced due to "pinched wires."
-Front passenger adaptive headlight assembly
-Front park-distance-control module shorted out due to pinched wires behind the front bumper going to 2 of the PDC sensors.

At this point the dealership had no specific update, they have had the car for 7 going on 8 days and have no idea when it can be returned to us -- so glad we are paying for a Land Rover Supercharged and driving around a LR 2
