Do you have a button on your steering wheel with a picture of a face on it? If so, hold that button down for a few seconds. If you hear a beep, say "Route Map". "Route Map" should appear on the insturment cluster, and the navigation map should appear on the nav screen.

If this doesn't happen, you don't have an SES module. I think only late production 2001 cars got it - I believe that widescreen, a CPT8000, and SES were all part of that late production 2001 upgrade.
