Ok all BS aside. Light colored pavers are more expensive than darks, the average price is 2.00-2.50 a sqf. for a simple paver, there's about 100-112 sqf per pallet. As everyone said, your sub-base is vital and you can gather all of that info online. You can call pavestone and see if they have any distributors in your area that handle their color transition or second run pavers. Basically when they start a new batch of pavers on the processing line all of the pavers in between the color change get stacked and sold at a discount rate. Pavestone in Houston does this, last batch we bought was like 85 a pallet.

I have no photos of the FLA house yet as I am waiting on my granite so I can do flagstone. If you do not want to do pavers but prefer random flagstone I can put you in touch with someone in falls church VA. who has killer stone at about 1.80 sqf. and very fair transport charges. Flagstone never gets hot under foot like concrete can.

Its hard work but the final outcome produces overwhelming pride and worth.

RJ
