I sent my ABS module to be repaired by BBA Remanufacturing. I got it back, installed it, and the dash lights went off, however the car was not drivable. The car would stall as if the engine was losing power. So I sent it back to BBA to have them look at it again. They said they checked the unit and no faults were found. I put it in the car and the car drives fine, except now the dash lights are on. The speedometer works but not cruise control. I just got off the phone with BBA and they told me the unit has to be recoded by the dealership.

Is this true? I thought if it was the same unit from the same car, it would not have to be recoded. I am not happy about this.

Is it possible it's a wheel sensor? Before I ever sent the unit in, my mechanic told me he tested the sensors and diagnosed the issue as the ABS module.

Any help would be appreciated. I am at wit's end with this car.
