Hello. I am researching replacing my front wheel bearing hub and i have a few questions if anyone has the time and interest to lend a hand.

First - Is is recommended to change these in pairs? As i can tell only my left front bearing is making noise. Ive read a couple step by steps and this hasn't been a noted concern (whereas with suspension components it is always stressed to change parts in pairs).

Second - Is it true that the 'early' E34 front hub is a discontinued part? Where i have been able to find it online it is considerably more expensive. Is there a retrofit you can do to make the part for the later E34's fit (ie installing the right sized hub)? and if so is it considered an upgrade/ and is it expensive?

Third - are there any common pitfalls with the installation? a point which many DIY'ers get stuck? from what ive read it takes real effort to break the 200+ft/lb axle nut... anything else to expect? searched the threads but thought i'd ask anyway...

Fourth (sorry so many quesitons) - recommended parts manufacturers? or ones to avoid/known to fail early...
