I know real estate is coming down, my agent said there's more foreclosure to come. Any prediction on when it will bottom out?

We're looking for a bigger home, mainly for better school dist to move since our eldest son is attending elementary in Aug and we're keeping the current home so there's no rush either. The hard part is buying a home now when the market is falling 20% annually so losing $20k on a $100K house is not bad but if it's 10X that then I won't feel well that's why I want to get wise old wisdoms from folks who have seen the cycle many time rather than once like me.

We've found houses within our prices, budgets but not sure if it's time to pull the trigger or wait 1 yrs, 2 yrs, etc....? Thanks again.
