Subject: Re: Valve stem caps question on E92 wheels

On the E90 series and almost all tire monitoring the systems computer tracts wheels revolutions and looks for a variation in the rotation speed of each individual tire. A quick or gradual change in the tire rotation caused by loss of air pressure or tire tread separation will trigger the check tires warning system.

Always adjust your tire pressure when your tires are cold and immediately reset the monitoring system. Once you have reset you monitoring system it takes about 10 miles of driving before the system calibrates.

The only thing I could find that talked about valve stems was related to my 7 series BWM, “long valve stems with or without metal O-ring stem caps may separate from the wheels at high speeds causing rapid tire deflation, use only BWM recommended valve stems at high performance speeds.”

I can’t think of any reason nor can I find anything that says you can’t change your valve steam caps on your 3 series.

IF someone knows anything different lets here from you...
