Just a little tribute to my beloved 1995 BMW 740iL Oxford Metallic Green on Black. 5/95 production date. This beauty came into my possession on 3/11/07 and was purchased at a dealer trade in Wholesale auction. I have poured my heart into this car, and it has given me a very good return. It brought me to this forum, and introduced me to a great bunch of guys and gals that have contributed so much to help me get my prize possession e38 to where it is today. I want to take the time to thank all of you guys, David C for his time invested into e38.org as well as bimmerboard.com. This is truly a special place, with a great group of enthusiasts.

Bill of sale, I noticed they stamped the wrong year as well... lol

Here she is the first time I laid my eyes on here in the auction sale lot.

I was at the auction to get a new car for myself because I sold my lincolns. The choices were- 2001 Excursion, 1995 Cadillac DeVille, or the 1995 BMW 740iL. I can now say I am very happy with my decision!

I threw the 740 on my trailer and towed it home with my Diesel F-250. I got home and here are the first pictures I took of my new vehicle.

The car had some issues right off the bat, TERRIBLE shimmy at 45-50 mph, memory seats with a mind of their own, non operational drivers door lock actuator, missing pixels, ABS light on, and damaged/faded paint on the roof and trunk.
None the less I was determined to give this seven a new life so I started on what has been a fun and exciting restoration/rejuvenation project on this 1995 e38.

First mods- HID low beams, PIAA yellow highs, and ebay tail lights.

Then come the M-Pars!

Then the devastation comes...I was driving in Simi Valley, CA parallel to some RR tracks, I was making a right turn behind another driver. The driver ahead of me was a foreigner and new to the US. They proceeded in their turn, I do a traffic check at the intersection and proceed as well. I look back to the right after I took off from my turn and see this person slamming on their brakes at the RR tracks for no apparent reason. I slammed on my breaks but there was not enough time to react and safely stop. I hit my right front into the center of their bumper on their SUV.

Motivated to get my baby back on the road I wasted no time! I already had to replace one headlight and fender so I figured I might as well face lift the car while I was at it.

And FRESH OUT OF PAINT!!!

Then come the 99-01 headlight inserts and Angel Eyes!

H&R springs and Monroe Struts going in

No more GAP!!!

Nav retrofit is next!

MK4 upgrade

strong strut

Euro plate and Alpina Spoiler-

upgrade

750 interior upgrade-

New cluster compliments of BMWNA

Then come the new rims!

New M-Sport steering wheel

And lastly...new M-Sport seats...

with 750il seat back covers

and to present day rocking style 94's in anticipation for the Alpina wheels to be done and back on the car.

I hope you guys enjoying seeing this transformation, as you guys are just as much a part of it as I was. With out this forum my wallet would be alot heavier, but my ride would not be where it is today. Thank all of you for your support and expertise which contributed to the knowledge and know how of how to fix up my ride. e38.org is a great asset to any e38 owner and has saved me many hours of guess work in working on my car. Big thanks to David C, and I hope to be a part of this community for years to come.
