If you have a USA based car then I would be surprised if you do have the "AUX Heating" option.

That option is available in other markets and it is a seperate heater installed in the compartment with the brake fluid unit. It burns petrol (from the tank) to produce heat which is then circulated through the heater (and I think the engine block). It also has a seperate exhaust pipe. If it is on your car then you can use the timer to activate it provided the outdoor temp is low enough.

There is also another version that uses heat stored in a brine tank to reheat the engine and car, but that is even more rare.

You may have the REST feature that provide heat to the cabin from the engine for up to 15 minutes after shutting the engine off.
