funny this thread just popped back up. i just recieved the last of the parts today and put it all back together. what was the results....nothing!!! same thing it's done the whole time!!! i feel like a failure now!! this problem has completly beaten me!!! i'm about to have it towed to the shop for a dignostic readout. for all thse intested, i changed the cam sensor, crank sensor, MAF sensor, the DME itself, the fuel pump/filter, and did the fan delete threw the process. nothing has changed the 1500rpm cutoff. at first startup the car runs real ruff but does rev just fine threw all rpms then the check engine light comes on and it runs alittle ruff but still revs. then the check engine light turns off and the engine only revs to 1500rpm. i mean dead on at 1500rpm. when i first swaped the DME it did run fine for about 5 mins then i swaped back to the old DME and it did the 1500 cutoff then i swaped to the other DME again and it ran fine for acouple more mins then all of a sudden it went to the 1500 cutoff again. i tried swaping to the old DME and back again but nothing changed. anyone think maybe something is/was shorted out and fried my replacement DME??? i'm gonna call my parts guy and see if he can give me another DME to try now that i swaped my cam and crank sensors. i'm at a total loss of what else to do/try here. towing it in to the dealer for a dignstic reading is my last resort. i've spent about a grand tryin to fix this without affecting the problem in anyway and my cars been down since last Oct.!!! this suxxxxx!!!!
