Subject: Re: Try unplugging the TV module and connect the blue plug from TV into the nav

Hi Brian
Thanks - that's a *really* great suggestion. I didn't know you could do that. Only problem is that on the Touring (Stationwagon) it seems like the TV module is in a different place behind the back seat under the trunk floor cover;

There are two blue plugs near the TV module here, and I'm assuming that one comes on a long loom from the GPS unit, so I tried short-wiring the two blue plugs there but I don't really know if that did the right thing or not.

There's another big black box there that looks like it's inline with both of those. I *think* that must be the TrafficMaster(tm) box.

I'm only guessing of course, there's a lot of boxes there. I don't know which are phone, GPS receiver, TrafficMaster, TV or other miscellaneous electronics.

Curiously, somebody on another list reckoned that unplugging the GPS would default over to the TV display (it didn't).

Another, reckoned he had the same problem and it turned out to be a resistor in a surge protector (black box) if I can find out which box that is.

If I can work out what all the boxes are I might be able to work out by a process of elimination which is the surge protector.
