Subject: Correction/Update

Correction: It's pin 10 (left wheel speed) that there's voltage on when the key is turned to the accessory position, _not_ pin 1. Does anyone know if this is expected? It's +12V when the car isn't moving.

Update: I moved pin 10 to the 3 position, but still no joy. Before, the unit never turned itself off--until I ejected the DVD, when the power LED would extinguish immediately (no blinking at the last few seconds like the MKIII, presumably signaling that it was saving data). With pin 10 moved to 3, even after ejecting the DVD, the power LED stays lit.

Other observations: Without the DVD, as I drive around the nav system reboots itself every 90-120 seconds. I'll be driving and the screen will go blank, the BMW splash screen appears, then the Accept message. This is with the original harness configuration with pins 1 and 10 and nothing in pin position 3.

Anyone else seen any of this, and perhaps have a resolution? It's either the MKIV unit or the wiring harness (still suspect b/c its missing pin 3/switched voltage).

Thanks in advance,

/Jake
