I have a 2002 745i and my mom has a 2003 745i

1. We both have - Check Engine Signal - Catalytic Converter message – they replaced the catalytic converters
2. Both have Windshield washer leaking – some sort of seal plus an O ring
3. CD Changer constantly changing when car is off – If you sit in the car it cycles about every 15 minutes of so
4. Clunk in Back – When Stopping fast and turning right – See Below from another post – Still having this problem.
5. A number of users have reported load bangs from the rear of their BMW 745i series cars. It sounds like a suspension problem. I had the same problem and it was due to the gas tank being depressurized as the car was running. There is a small filter tank attached to the main tank to collect petrol fumes. The fumes are then fed into the engine via a valve and burnt. When the valve fails the engine sucks the tank and it flexes and makes the noise like a drum. Replace the part ~ £60 and it cures it. You can check if this is the problem by running with the petrol filling cap off for a few miles. The noise should disappear.

Hope this helps.
Jeff Smith
