I assume you are measuring the total load - with the ammeter in series on the negative cable of the battery.

AND - that you are doing it after the car has gone to sleep.


If so then you have a problem with the amp in the trunk (fed by 56). Sometimes the amp does not power down to the sleep mode- usually requires a recoding of the software.

You mention the shift gate - that is the lamp for the gear shift indicator and it should stay lit for the 16 minutes till the car goes into sleep mode. If it is staying lit then the General Module is also not going into sleep mode and will need recoding as well.

Have any components been replaced on this car? If some have and they have not properly been recoded to the specific car then various problems can occur such as incorrect operatin and not powering down correctly.

Fuses 75 & 76 are large ones up "behind" the glove box - but I would start with the others first.
