Subject: IceLink does have display limitations - Intravee appears to fix those

I'm seriously considering the Intravee - while my IceLink works just fine, the Intravee's displays, which use so much more of the available space on the nav screen (v. the Icelink and the Dice that just use 1/3 of the top portion of the screen), are stunning!

What I don't know is to what extent you have to cycle through AM/FM/CD, or press the "rectangle within a rectangle" button to get the display to look right (I have to do these steps sometimes to get the icelink text display to look right)

I was dead set on the Intravee at first, when I thought I could plug in the Alpine ipod adapter and the Alpine Sirius tuner, and the Alpine HD radio tuner. Then I realized that to plug more than one Alpine AiNet device in, I would need the Alpine AiNet switching unit. With all that the project got a little pricier than it looked at first.

So right now I'm playing with my IceLink some more to make sure I REALLY want to switch. I usually listen to "Shuffle Songs" but I'm messing with it more now, picking by Artist, Album, my playlists, and the automactically created by iTunes playlists like "Purchased" and "Recently Added." This to give the IceLink interface a workout and decide if I need a better interface afterall.
