Subject: engine cuts out at 1500rpm

i've had this car for about 2 years now and love it!! recently it developed a problem that has me kinda stumped. i live in south FLA and we had alot of rain a month ago. i noticed that when i first started the car it ran alittle rough like something was wet, then it would clear up just fine. that happened afew times during a weeks time. one morning i start it up and drive down the street when sudenly the car will only rev to 1500rpms then cuts out till it returns to under 1500rpm. if i floor it, it will rev past the 1500 but really is still cutting out at the 1500 but momentum revs the motor higher. once the momentum runs out it comes back down to 1500 before the engine runs again. if i rev it slow it gets up to 1500 and bounces there just cutting off and coming back again. i know that the vanos system reads at 1500rpm but i'm not even positive i even have vanos. i tried the 5 stomp check engine code reading but it won't work. i get not flash from the light. i have the carsoft 6.5 diagnostics system but it doesn't read get any response from the car. here's the readout.....

i very 3 months ago i replaced the plugs and coils. i used the BAV auto HP coils. should the cam/crank position sensor be replaced also at the same time? my thoughts are, change the cam sensor if that isn't it then change the MAF sensor. i read it could be the problem (maybe) and if all else fails i'm goin after the brain and just replace the DME itself. any sugestions??? am i headed the right direction here?? also if i change the DME do i need to read the coding with the carsoft program then replace that into the new DME. also would i need to program a used DME?? should i get a used DME??

any help here would realy be a huge help guys, thanks
