Another question. Thanks, I had been advised that the Trimble was behind the amp so after taking everything out and no trimble, I realized the trimble was actually in front of teh TV module.

Second question, The back of the MK4 has a magenta and blue female plug. I have purchased a 61 12 6 907 840 which is a wire harness that has male blue and magenta plugs. I also purchased a wire harness, 61 12 8 381 219 which a 16 pin male connector (white) matching the empty female connector on the TV module.

Question: in removing the MK1, there was a brown and blue male connector on a wire harness, what if anything do these get connected to? Is there a link describing the wiring conversion from an MK1 to a MK4? The car is E39, '97 528i built in March. I want to keep it for another 10 years. Thanks
