The missing component is a resistor. But what value? I don't know.

The cracked component is likely to be a resistor as well. The value is normally written on the resistor as follows: XXY where XX = value and Y = number of zeros.

eg: 201 = 200 ohms. 473 = 47000 or 47k ohms.

Replacing the resistors is easy, but you need another circuit board to determine what the values are. Simply measure a good board to get the values, then buy some resistors - even standard resistors will do, you can make them fit.

Or buy an old key of the same type from a wrecker and dismantle, and use for spare parts.

Remember to tell the wrecker that the key is worthless due to the various security systems deployed in it, so hopefully the wrecker will just give it to you.... maybe...
