It sounds (pun intended) that you have everything hooked up correctly.

I forgot to ask in my earlier post... does your navigation computer have blue and burgundy plugs, or does it have the black and brown plugs like in my picture?

There is a button to the immediate left of the radio volume knob that looks like a picture of a cassette tape. Does that button do anything?

Does your AM/FM and tape play?

The problem may be as simple as that you need to insert a map disk into the navigation computer. Do you have a map disk for your region?

Here is all of the good news...
1) Your screen displays something. This tells you that the foundation of your system is all connected correctly. If you had the TV module or nav computer misconnected, you would not get a screen.

2) Your CD changer works. This is huge, as it proves that the DSP amp is connected and recognizing the presence of a functioning navigation computer.

3) The echo-ey sound is not a problem at all. That just tells you that the previous person to use the car had the "Room" and "Echo" adjustments on the DSP maxed out. As soon as you get your normal menu, you can fix the audio settings to sound better.

4) The nav computer is probably connected correctly, because the lights are coming on. It is probably active trying to read a disk and present the initial menu on the screen.
